I am a photography addict, based in Canberra, Australia. My passion is Nature photography of any genre, in particular macro photography of flowers and insects, in addition to landscapes and wildlife. I have been fascinated by the wonders of the natural world for as long as I remember, back when I was a child. This is expressed very clearly through my photography, as well as my education in agriculture and environmental sciences, in particular biodiversity conservation and ecosystems management.
I am a proud Canberran; I believe that living in Canberra, the bush capital of Australia is a blessing for many reasons, but most importantly for its proximity to forests and national parks, where nature photographers feel always at home.
To me photography was a forbidden and mystical land, until I incidentally took a course to learn the basics in late 2013, after a battle with cancer, and as an attempt to get out of the struggle with the harsh physical and psychological side effects of the illness and the treatment. To my own amazement and that of everyone around me, this venture turned out to be the beginning of unleashing of a hidden talent that I myself didn’t know about. It was one of those moments of truth that you face once or twice in your life at most. And the rewards kept coming.
Today, I don’t see photography as a hobby anymore, but rather a ferociously strong and addictive passion; it’s my own meditative practice to deal with life and create beauty. I literally live, breathe and see through photography. I strongly believe that beautiful things are all around us, even in our own backyards; it’s up to us whether to simply look at them or to take the time to really see them. When we truly see, with our eyes and souls, heaven will unleash all its glory and the rewards are incomparable. Only the sky will then be the limit…

Nature, as I see it with my heart, through my lens ...
